Romanian VAT Registration Number and Security Number Checking

To support users to fill in VAT Registration No. and personal identification number for partners (vendors and customers), a new development was needed. This functionality validates if the code entered in VAT Registration No. has a correct structure. It does not verify the existence of the VAT Registration No. code. The system displays a message if:

  • VAT registration number or personal identification number has an incorrect structure;
  • VAT registration number or personal identification number already exists on another partner card.
Note

Prevent that the VAT registration number or personal identification number has an incorrect structure or already exists on another partner card.

To verify this functionality you have to fill in VAT Registration No. or personal identification number on the partners' cards (vendors and customers).

  1. Open a Vendor card by accessing the Vendors page using the Tell me icon;
  2. Add a number in the VAT Registration No. field from the General Tab, which does not have the specific structure of a VAT Registration No. or a personal identification number.
  3. Open an existing Customer card by accessing the Customers page using the Tell me icon;
  4. Copy the VAT Registration No. or the personal identification number from the General Tab.
  5. Paste it into VAT Registration No. field for another customer.

Posted Results

The system will display messages that will warn you that the VAT registration number/personal identification number has an incorrect structure, or if the VAT registration number/personal identification number already exists on another partner card.
